The Grant

Apply here after reading the requirements.

A. One-time grants that range from $100 – $550 for students who meet an unexpected expense during their course of study, including but not limited to: transportation issues (e.g., repairs), job loss or loss of hours at job, medical expenses, family crisis, and natural disaster.

B. Along with the grant, monthly online academic/career mentorship is available if desired.

Requirements

1. Must currently be an undergraduate student at a regionally-accredited, non-profit, public or private college/university in Georgia.

2. Must be a Pell Grant recipient.

3. Applicants must have already earned a minimum of 60 undergraduate credit hours and be on-track towards graduation with a bachelors degree within the next two years.

4. Required documents: a) Current unofficial transcript showing a minimum 2.5 GPA  b) Brief Statement of Purpose describing your major, what you have accomplished, and your post-graduation plans (minimum 500 words). c) Brief Emergency Statement explaining what has occurred and why you need extra funding (minimum 250 words).

5. Make a commitment to update the OMSE Fund once a semester on your progress toward graduation (how many classes you have passed) and to notify us of your graduation.

6. If we proceed with your application, we will arrange a brief meeting with you to discuss the Fund and how a grant may help you overcome this emergency and achieve your goals.
